Dimitri Roueff has successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled “Development of illumination and detection methods for fast and specific volumetric imaging of biological tissues.”
During his doctoral research, Dimitri demonstrated outstanding experimental skills and strong creativity in the development of advanced optical imaging technologies. His work led to the design of a fast and broadband partially spatially coherent swept-source laser, as well as the development of a novel optical coherence tomography (OCT) approach based on lock-in cameras.
These methodological advances enable fast volumetric imaging with high sensitivity and open new perspectives for dynamic volumetric OCT, combining speed, specificity, and signal robustness. Together, they represent a significant contribution to the development of next-generation optical imaging techniques for biological tissues.
The CLARITY Group congratulates Dr Dimitri Roueff on the successful defence of his PhD and wishes him every success in his future scientific career.
